Traffic Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis.We

ROLEBased in Chicago, IL, the successful candidate would provide
traffic and transportation expertise, quality management, design,
and technical services to our private and public sector clients. We
are seeking a professional with traffic analysis, modeling, and
simulation program experience. This position will require some
degree of require project management, monitoring budgets and time
constraints.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and manage field work such as site investigations,
traffic data collection and existing transportation conditions
- Draft conceptual and functional design for all types of
transportation infrastructure, including streets
- Contribute to work analysis and design including pavement
markings, signage, traffic management and detour plans utilizing
appropriate standards and analysis tools/techniques
- Freeway and corridor operational evaluation using
state-of-the-art software
- Perform a number of studies including traffic impact studies,
safety studies, signal timing and optimization studies, transit
studies and non-motorized studies, planning and forecasting
studies
- Conduct transportation demand forecasting at the corridor and
neighborhood level
- PS&E for roadway design
- Effectively advise and consult clients as well as curate
proposals while remaining attuned to the objective of the
client
- Project management and m budgets and time constraints
- Perform historical and record searches from requisite governing
bodies
- Ensure proper adherence to company standards of
procedureQUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree or Master's degree in Civil/Transportation
Engineering from an accredited institution/program
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a related
field
- Basic familiarity with MUTCD, AASHTO geometric design, Highway
Capacity Manual, Highway Safety Manual, Trip Generation, and Urban
Design Guidelines
- Knowledge of discipline-specific software including
Synchro/SimTraffic, HCS, VISSIM, and MicroStation
- Completion of fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam
- Familiarity with all relevant local highway/transport standards
and requirements
- Comfortable working in rough to moderate outdoor terrain of all
types and in most outdoor weather (winter and summer)
conditions
- Proficient technical writing skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to assess clients' needs and offer proposals for client
review
- Ability to work within set procedure and policy to ensure the
privacy protocols and standard operating procedures are adhered to
at all times
- Enthusiastic and dynamic character who works well in a team
setting with excellent communication and interpersonal skillsWHAT
