Our goal is to be the industry's best source, and best value, for complete turn-key construction, engineering and design-build services and related products.Across North America, notable projects include, The Purple Line Extensions section 3 in Los Angeles, Water Tunnel number 3 in New York City, Eagle Mountain Gas Pipeline and Kemano T2 tunneling projects in British Columbia, Canada, the Inter-Quarry Tunnel in Leesburg, VA and the Century Mine in Volga, WV.At Frontier-Kemper you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of large, high-profile, projects that impact your community.Extraordinary Projects need Exceptional TalentAs a Laborer at Frontier-Kemper, reporting to the Field Services Manager, you will have the opportunity to:Description:Operate general construction tools as neededPerform other general laborer tasks and maintain a clean work areaLoad, transport and unload materials, supplies and equipmentPerform clean-up and minor repair tasksResponsible for pre-shift equipment inspectionsOperate mobile equipment; such as forklifts and manliftsInstallation of upgrades for improved functions on hoisting systems and related equipmentAssist with installation of new systems and ancillary equipmentWork closely with FKC-Lake Shore Mechanical & Electrical TechniciansParticipate to improve efficiency, quality, and safetyWork overtime as neededRequirements:High school diploma or equivalent1 to 2 years of stable work history in a Trade or construction-oriented environmentPossess excellent communication and interpersonal skillsSelf-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision with a strong work ethic.Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings and perform work layout; beneficial but not requiredAbility to communicate with others effectivelyAbility to work in a collaborative manner with multiple team membersAbility to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentAbility to maintain organization of company assetsAbility to work in confined spaces; such as an underground mine or in a mine shaftAbility to work from elevated surfaces (heights); such as platforms, baskets, and headframesAbility to work outside in all weather conditionsValid Driver's License and reliable transportation required
