The-- - Perfusionist is responsible for maintaining extracorporeal circulation during cardiothoracic surgical procedures and coordinates data for the STS Adult Cardiothoracic database.

$119,145.00/yr minimum - $178,719.00/yr maximum (range increases based on education, experience and certifications)

Responsibilities

-- --- - Operates, monitor and maintain the heart/lung machine and extracorporeal units.
-- --- - Assists with cardiac program development through recruitment assistance, program promotion and market research.
-- --- - Assist in the development of perfusion department policies and procedures.
-- --- - Assists with the proper maintenance of records, procedure manuals and quality control measures.
-- --- - Assists in the card and maintinance of equipment and supplies used in the department.
-- --- - Assists as necessary in coordinating the activities of the perfusion department.
-- --- - Submits data to the Society of Thoracic Surgeons quarterly harvest as required for compliance with the memebership standards.
-- --- - Maintains accurate database records relating to STS Adult Cardiothoracic database.
-- --- - Analyzes and evaluates data using statistical methods, benchard data, or other comparable measures related to the STS Adult Cardiothoracic database.

Qualifications

-- --- - Bachelors Degree in Perfusion Technology
-- --- - Current Illinois License Perfusionist
-- --- - Technical Experience: 3 years
