Job Description:

Responsible for preparing and scanning documents into the electronic documentmanagement system, viewing scanned documents for image quality and accuracy;reviewing, identifying and monitoring documentation requirements for electronicmedical records. Responsibilities Safety

--- - Manages processes effectively in regard to employee/patient safety.Record Keeping

--- - Maintains all required records, reports, statistics, logs, files and otherdocuments as required. Process Improvement

--- - Promotes a culture of process improvement by participating inunit/department based programs that supports the system's processimprovement goals.

--- - Actively participates on system-wide or hospital-based teams as needed. Role Specific Responsibilities

--- - Assemble records in the hospital defined order.

--- - Determines the readiness of the documents for quality control process.

--- - Maintains scanning equipment to assure quality of scanned documents.

--- - Performs functions according to quality and timeliness guidelines.

--- - Retrieves / Receives patient's documents.

--- - Reviews and corrects batch images

--- - Uploads corrected batch.

--- - Validates index values.

--- - Collaborates with Patient Identity Specialist regarding physiciandelinquency status.

--- - Monitors and corrects chart deficiencies, rejected deficiencies and chartcompletion regarding medical Staff Rules and Regulations.

--- - Serves as a liaison with physician and clinicians regarding use ofelectronic medical record system.

--- - Maintains acceptable chart completion turn-around-time within therevenue cycle.

--- - Updates clinician events. Qualifications Education

--- - High School Diploma

--- - Associates Degree preferred Licenses and Certification
