Description:
As a Joint Use Permitting Coordinator you will collaborate with the
Joint Use Manager, OSP Permit Specialists, Outside Plant (OSP)
Engineers, OSP CAD and third party consultants to support the
projects of the Outside Plant department. Communication and the
ability to work well with others and establish positive
relationships with coworkers, vendors, landowners, and agency
personnel are necessary for success in this position. This is an
entry level position into the Telecoms field. We are looking for
the right person with the right attitude to train and develop the
skills for Joint use permitting and National Joint Use Notification
System or NJUNS. The Infrastructure Support Specialist will be
expected to perform efficiently and effectively under tight project
deadlines.THIS IS A REMOTE POSITION, HOWEVER THE SUCCESSFUL
CANDIDATE WILL BE LOCATED IN ALABAMA, ARKANSAS, CONNETICUT,
FLORIDA, GEORGIA, IOWA, IDAHO, ILLINOIS, INDIANA, KANSAS,
LOUISIANA, MARYLAND, MINNESOTA, MISSOURI, MISSISSIPPI, NORTH
CAROLINA, OHIO, OKLAHOMA, SOUTH CAROLINA, TENNESSEE, TEXAS OR
VIRGINIA. Essential FunctionsAdministrate joint use of utility pole
contracts including move, add, change of attachments,
specifications, inspections, billing and database
management.Coordinate and track permitting process, ensuring timely
application, negotiation and implementation.Assist Joint Use
Manager and OSP Permit Specialists in planning, scheduling,
permitting and joint use elements of their projects.Joint Use
Manager and OSP Permit Specialists with easement acquisitions and
documentation.Create and maintain an organized and accessible
permit, permissions and joint use pole locations filing system.Work
collaboratively with the engineering team on the collection of
field data and generation of high quality deliverables on all
projects, in accordance with engineering practices and
policies.Interface with external contract parties for permit
preparation and submission. Hold accountable to timeframes and
quality.
Requirements:
Preferred QualificationsHigh level of competency with office
practices and procedures, especially business correspondence, and
with the full MS Office software suite. Smart sheet knowledge a
plusKnowledge of pole joint use tracking software and permitting
process preferred.Familiarity with GIS / CAD applications a
plus.Ability to establish and maintain effective working
relationships with local and regional officials, consultants,
vendor contacts and property owners. Excellent written and verbal
communications skills.Dedication and persistence when faced with
challenging situations.Ability to condense large amounts of
research and input from relevant sources into concise project
reports and updates.Excellent organizational skills and the ability
to establish and adjust priorities as needed.Ability to read and
navigate online mapping systems.Understanding of Aerial Wireline
construction process and JU permitting systems and other Pole
owners and Municipalities.Understanding of resource management and
project management techniques, how to set schedules, understand
dependencies, and hold others accountable.Skills And

driven project environmentTelecommunications experience a strong
plusExperience with Joint Use Pole permitting and NJUN's / SPANS /
equivalent a strong plus.Experience with ROW permitting and
Easement acquisition a strong plus.Project coordination or
