Job Title : Cobol Developer (AS/400)

Job Location : Evansville, IN or Remote

Job Type : Full Time / Contract



Job Description:

Good coordination skills required.



Skills Desired:

COBOL/400, COBOL ILE

SQL/400

Query/400

Strong working knowledge in DB2/400

ILE Concepts

Display Files, Sub Files, Printer Files

Embedded SQL



Additional Skills:

Aldon, MQ Series is a plus. Worked on production support added advantage.



Technical Skills:

iSeries Development Expertise in technologies such as ILE COBOL, ILE CL, C database DB2

Knowledge of iSeries APIs, Data queues, User queues, multi-threading, Journaling and IBM iSeries file systems such as Library based system etc.

Experience with SQL and MQ Series is a plus.



Responsibilities:

Functional Requirements and perform requirement analysis

Estimate and Monitor Estimates

Work with Business teams to prioritize work

Prepare detailed design documentation

Interface between customer and Offshore Team

Reporting and tracking of assignments

Fix high priority issues
