About The Position We are seeking a board-certified Obstetrician/Gynecologist for a locum tenens hospitalist assignment in Indiana, starting Dec 1, 2025, for a 24-week contract. The role offers 3-6 shifts per month, including weekday nights and weekend day/night coverage, with midwife support and urgent GYN surgery responsibilities. Job Details - Location: Indiana - Start Date: Dec 1, 2025 - LOA: 24 weeks - Provider Type Needed: Obstetrician/Gynecologist - Schedule: 3-6 shifts per month; Weekdays 5 PM-7 AM; Weekends 7 AM-7 PM and 7 PM-7 AM Responsibilities and Duties - Provide in-house OB Hospitalist coverage for labor and delivery - Manage urgent gynecologic surgeries as needed - Work collaboratively with 1-2 certified nurse midwives per shift - Deliver patients at 32 weeks gestation; high-risk deliveries are transferred to tertiary care - Oversee approximately 300 deliveries per year - Collaborate with 24/7 available anesthesia team - Ensure timely, high-quality care during assigned shifts Additional Information - Must have active Indiana medical license - Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology required - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications required - Locum can work up to 48 hours per shift Benefits - Strong compensation - Travel-related expenses covered - A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided - Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
