Job Description Details - Department: Cardiac Cath Lab - Schedule: Mon-Fri, 7:30am-5:00pm. Must live within 30 minutes of the hospital. Call requirement: 1 weekday call shift per week and every 4th weekend. Responsibilities Provides direct nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic, therapeutic and interventional procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. - Assess, prepare and position patients for procedures. Perform conscious sedation and hemodynamic monitoring as necessary. - Prepare, implement and document plan of care. Communicatespatient's condition to physician before, during and after procedures. - Perform and/or facilitates diagnostic, therapeutic and interventional procedures. - Perform set up and provide equipment and supplies before, during and after procedures. Requirements Licensure / Certification / Registration: - BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. - Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing required. - Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Education: - Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required OR Required professional licensure at time of hire. Additional Preferences Prefer BSN 2 years of Critical Care or Emergency Department experience. Experienced in interpreting cardiac arrhythmias, handling life-threatening situations in a fast-paced high-pressure environment. ACLS required within 6 months of employment.
