specifics.ResponsibilitiesProvide direct nursing care in accordance
with established policies, procedures and protocols of the
healthcare organization.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record, and
communicate patient condition as appropriate.
- Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for
well-coordinated patient care.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with
members of the healthcare team.RequirementsLicensure /
Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or
job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American
Red Cross accepted.
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing
obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
required.Education:
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR
Required professional licensure at time of hire required.Additional
PreferencesWe are a specialized Med Surg unit that sees patients
with musculoskeletal issues including broken or fractured bones,
arthritis, osteoporosis, joint replacements, and other injuries and
diseases. You will also see Laminectomy/Discectomy surgeries,
Trauma Injuries, and Podiatry patients.You will work as an integral
part of the orthopedic and neurosurgical team working alongside the
orthopedic surgeon, neurosurgeon, and trauma surgeon; and ensuring
that patients on the road to recovery are properly regaining
strength and range of motion.We get patients from ER, ICU
transfers, elective ortho/neuro surgeries from PACU, and direct

- Provide direct care for the Ortho patients, Neuro patients, and
Trauma patients
- Support and Educate patients and families - procedure and plan
of care
- Evaluate patient responses to treatments and interventions
Monitor, record, and communicate with patient conditions as
appropriate throughout their stay/recovery
- Excellent multi-tasking skills & communication skills
