  • Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
  • Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.RequirementsLicensure / Certification / Registration:
    • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
    • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.Education:
      • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire required.Additional PreferencesWe are a specialized Med Surg unit that sees patients with musculoskeletal issues including broken or fractured bones, arthritis, osteoporosis, joint replacements, and other injuries and diseases. You will also see Laminectomy/Discectomy surgeries, Trauma Injuries, and Podiatry patients.You will work as an integral part of the orthopedic and neurosurgical team working alongside the orthopedic surgeon, neurosurgeon, and trauma surgeon; and ensuring that patients on the road to recovery are properly regaining strength and range of motion.We get patients from ER, ICU transfers, elective ortho/neuro surgeries from PACU, and direct admits.As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to advance your knowledge in a highly specialized, rewarding, and mentoring environment, focusing on professional growth and development in neurological and neurosurgical care.
        • Provide direct care for the Ortho patients, Neuro patients, and Trauma patients
        • Support and Educate patients and families - procedure and plan of care
        • Evaluate patient responses to treatments and interventions Monitor, record, and communicate with patient conditions as appropriate throughout their stay/recovery
