Pathology Opportunity - Cape Girardeau, MO

Analyze bodily fluids and tissue samples to study, diagnose and treat disease. Collaborate with physicians and assist with diagnosis and treatment plans.

As You Begin:

• 
  
• Analyze and test samples of blood, urine, tissue and other bodily specimens
  
• Prepare detailed reports regarding the results of the specimens tested and reviews the findings with the physicians
  
• Collaborate with physicians to determine proper treatment plans for patients
  
• Operate laboratory equipment, medical equipment and computerized systems to perform various lab and diagnostic tests
  
• Calibrate testing equipment to ensure accurate test results
  
• Perform regular research, staying up to date on new ways to treat and identify diseases
  
• Follow SoutheastHEALTH policies, procedures and safety guidelines
  
• Maintain patient confidentiality
  
• Any other duties as needed to drive to the Vision, fulfill the Mission, and abide by the Values of the organization
  
  To become:
  
  • 
    
  • Valid and active medical license in the State of Missouri is required
    
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree required
    
  • Certification by the American Board of Pathology required
    
  • Completion of a pathology residency or internship training program required
    
  • Fellowship in a specialty field of study preferred
