We are currently seeking a part-time (0.6 FTE) Ultrasound
Technologist to join our team of professionals at Boston IVF. This
Ultrasound Technologist position will be responsible for performing
diagnostic sonographic duties in an outpatient setting. This
position is expected to work 24 hours week, day shift hours with
varying start times. The shifts for this position will vary,
starting between 7:30am to 9:30am and ending between 12pm to
2:30pm. Some weekend shifts will be required.

WHAT IS REQUIRED FOR ULTRASOUND TECHNOLOGIST CANDIDATES?
Ultrasound Tech must be a graduate of an accredited school of
ultrasound.
Maintain ARDMS or is ARDMS registry eligible which must be obtained
within 3 months of hire.
Six months of hospital experience with OB/GYN focus is
preferred.
IVF experience preferred.
BLS training is provided and required within 6 months of hire.
WHAT ARE THE ULTRASOUND TECHNOLOGIST RESPONSIBILITIES?
The Outpatient Ultrasound Technologist in BIVF entails direct
patient contact to perform fertility sonography and must be
proficient in follicular ultrasounds, early pregnancy monitoring,
and SIS procedures. Assessments to include but not limited to:
Antral Follicle Count, three dimensional studies of follicular
development, endometrial cavity evaluation, endometrial thickness,
uterine, adnexal and ovarian abnormalities.
Essential Functions
Performs ultrasound exams according to protocols established by
Boston IVF and/or REI physician. Performs quality diagnostic OB,
pelvic, transvaginal and abdominal ultrasounds.
Demonstrates knowledge of anatomy related to procedure for
ultrasound competency and IUIs.
Properly coordinates patient medical history and physical
conditions with requested exam.
Demonstrates knowledge of equipment functions, safety, image
transmission and troubleshooting.
Properly recognizes and demonstrates knowledge of when/how to
contact physicians for abnormal results.
Follows established guidelines for Trophon use.
Attends all required safety training programs and maintains
ultrasonography competencies/CEUs.
Has complete understanding in the use of practice specific EMR
(eIVF) for proper patient documentation and treatment
coordination.
