Job Description:

A leading manufacturer of metal products used for diverse industries worldwide is looking for a VP of BD that will maintain and build upon their strong and consistent brand through a wide range of online and offline channels. This role will lead the execution of business plans and provide new business strategies for the organization. The VP is responsible for the management and performance of annual sales growth, monthly forecast, and resource management. This role will establish challenging and achievable sales growth targets, improve top line performance through organic and inorganic sales that sustain bottom line margins. This key position needs to be a problem-solver that is capable of assuming responsibility, and may have to act in full representation of the President whenever the latter is not available.Responsibilities: Drives and sustains sales intensity, operations integrity, and profitability by setting expectations, accountability, and expected outcome to achieve results.Develops and delivers on monthly budget forecasts including sales revenue, margin, inventory shrinkage and manages controllable expenses, trade shows, supplies, and variable costs.Develops and measures key sales pipelines and metrics; proactive to market trends, develop and implement actions to close deals or target objectives.Establishes and communicates company initiatives, goals, and objectives, sets clear expectations, measures, and monitors results of the team.Oversee the organizational effectiveness, management development, and leadership development of the organization towards improving the core content of the company; uses knowledge and best practices to support each team member.Attract, and retain clients by developing highly creative outreach strategies along with improving organizations marketing materials; understands how to sell quality and grow sales at a maximum profit.Establish recommended selling prices by monitoring costs, competition, and supplier saturation.Establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers. Provides leadership for problem resolution to facilitate favorable improvements and working relationships.Work in line with the operational procedures of the organization towards its revenue generation and sales growth goals.Travel with team members to support closing deals, or to coach and mentor.Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business / Finance preferred.Minimum of five years' leadership experience in B2B operational management, working for a Manufacturing Company supplying tier 1 to tier 3 and N customers:Managed & directed inside and outside sales team members preferably working in a Director Level or senior management capacityManaged budgets, monthly forecasts, and strategic plansManaged marketing functions; research, branding, and developmentEstablish sales objectives and sales quotas for regions and territories.Develop expected sales volume and revenue by customerStrong project management leadership and proficiency in Microsoft office & CRM applications.Experience working under ISO 9001:2000, or TS 16949 standards, and Sarbanes- Oxley Act, (SOX Compliance).Lean, Continuous Improvement or Six Sigma training, exposure, or experience.Ability to grow and maintain relationship with any individual, irrespective of the background and type of personality.High energy level, comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities.Exemplary interpersonal abilities. Adapts quickly to change and executes company policies in an ethical manor.Interactive aptitude, ability to manage diverse buyers. Can easily manage through entry level sales minutia to uncover customer pain.Possesses problem solving and resolution skills. Ability to manage and defuse challenging customers or situations with discretion and solutions.Participative management style-advocate of team concept.Results and people oriented, uses sound judgment with ability to balance all business considerations.Service oriented, but assertive/persuasive and decisive when the business requires to sell value.Ability to stay in front of issues, and delivers recommended solutions.Data driven with the ability to summarizes accurate data to explain position; can condense and communicate valid facts, probable cause, and conclusions.Travel 40-50% to visit key accounts, validate new leads.
