This position has not been transitioned.--Please follow the--directions below when applying to this position.--DO NOT APPLY ONLINE**DO NOT CLICK THE APPLY BUTTON**--CMS100/B Employment Application and all applicable documentation should be submitted to the Agency contact listed below.--Posting Identification # 749--Position Description and Job Responsibilities Under general supervision of the Health Information Administrator at Menard Correctional Center, completes Health Care Unit call lines by scheduling, inputting into Offender Tracking System (OTS) computer system, completing medical record outguides, processing movement sheets and call passes; assists with other clerical duties as assigned.40%-- Inputs into computerized OTS call passes system all call lines submitted by Health Care Unit departments i.e., Lab/X-Ray, Dental, Physical Therapy, Medical Records, Central Supply, RN Education, Optometry/Ophthalmology, on site consultants, and-- Mental Health following AD/ID requirements; completes call lines to ensure printing of call passes and processing to IPO for authorization; organizes passes to cellhouses for delivery of offenders; completes outguides for medical records; schedules offenders for chronic clinics form a list the RN provides; schedules offenders for physical exams by monitoring OTS print out "Inmates due for Medical Exams" to ensure compliance with AD/ID's for health services.25%-- Maintains scheduling books for specialty clinic referrals, out patient series and schedules accordingly with other clerical staff; reviews and reschedules "no show" and "recalls" from completed call lines; maintains confidentiality of medical information.10%-- Assists with other clerical duties within the medical Records Department to provide coverage of clerical duties during vacancies; assists with filing in Medical Records, pulling call lines and re-filing medical jackets.10%-- Maintains office are in a neat, orderly fashion; reports to supervisor any problems identified which would affect compliance to AD/ID or Health Care Unit Policies and Procedures; attends inservice training as assigned to obtain 16 hours of training per year; adheres to Administrative Regulation; AD/ID's of the department, and the policies and procedures of the Health Care Unit; serves as an internal auditor as assigned.10%-- Types a variety of correspondence, reports and other information from handwritten hard copy; composes and types routine correspondence; answers telephone and responds to inquiry or directs call to appropriate department.05%-- Performs other duties as required or assigned which hare reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above. Minimum Requirements

  • Option 2 - Requires ability to type accurately at 35 wpm.
