Job Description:

The ideal candidate will be comfortable generating frequent financial reports for senior management. They should track financial information in a well-organized manner and assist the Controller in all aspects related to finance at the organization. This candidate should be comfortable analyzing balance sheets in order to forecast revenue and keep track of accounts payable and receivable. * Prepares financial statements to summarize and forecast the company's financial status.* Produces and manages balance sheets and analyze future earnings and expenses.* Assists with management of accounting, auditing, and budgeting within the organization.* Assists with preparations for audits.* Works to reconcile accounting inaccuracies or imbalances.* Ensures compliance with and prepare reports according to applicable government regulations.* Coordinates with and prepares reports for CFO and upper management, including quarterly and year-end audit work.* Assists with the filing and reporting requirements of the SEC, including preparation of documents and work papers related to the annual 10-K and quarterly 10-Qs * Coordinates preparation and filing of Form 8-Ks, Form 4s, and press releases as appropriate* Maintains equity compensation records related to stock options and director stock compensation and takes all necessary steps to ensure the Company's incentive compensation plans meet regulatory requirements for reporting and tax compliance* Assists with the annual renewal process for the Company's insurance policies and assists with claims coverage issues as needed* Performs internal control testing under the supervision of the CFO to ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures (SOX audits)Qualifications & Requirements* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field* CPA, CMA, or MBA required* 5+ years of related work experience, SEC experience preferred* Strong written communication skills requiredPhysical Demands * Sitting, talking, and listening at least 2/3 of the time* Lifting up to 10 pounds
